SEPA Instant transfers are designed for immediate processing. While the goal is instant transfer, various factors can contribute to delays, such as the timing of the transfer, the location of the transaction, security checks, bank holidays, and transaction-specific details. Some transfers may take up to two hours, overnight, or extend up to 2 working days.
It's important to note that SEPA Instant is not universally supported by all European banks. To check if your bank supports SEPA Instant, please refer to the full list of supported banks here.
Additionally, even if a bank is part of the SEPA Instant scheme, individual accounts may need configuration for instant transfers. In such cases, account holders should contact their banks to set up their accounts accordingly.
